British American Tobacco is seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our Research & Development function as an Undergraduate Intern – Preclinical Sciences. This exciting opportunity is perfect for students pursuing a degree in Biology, Toxicology, Pharmacology, or a related field.

About the Role

This 12-month placement will provide you with hands-on experience in designing experiments, conducting lab-based research, and processing data. You will work closely with our Preclinical Sciences Team to develop and implement in vitro toxicology approaches for the assessment of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and conduct experiments to evaluate new approach methodologies (NAMs) for their usefulness in supporting our product pipeline.
  • Perform in vitro mammalian cell culture and toxicological assays to assess the safety and efficacy of our products.
  • Process and analyze data to inform product development and regulatory submissions.
