About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Manpower UK Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing a high standard of maintenance services to our clients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out reactive repairs to college buildings and grounds.
  • Performing minor electrical works, including changing lamps, replacing plugs and fuses, and testing sockets.
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance work as per a schedule developed by the Estates Manager.
  • Collaborating with other team members on small installation and project work as directed by the maintenance supervisor.
  • Reporting any issues with gutters, walkways, stairs, and building conditions to the Estates Manager.
  • Assisting with weekly Fire Alarm testing tasks and termly fire drills.
  • Providing support to other college departments, working closely with the Housekeeping Team, Grounds Team, and Accommodation Office.
  • Attending necessary in-house or external training as required.
  • Using the College radio system to stay in contact during working hours.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work proactively and independently.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic electrical knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal hours, including evenings and weekends.
