The Role

As a skilled Painter and Decorator at Fortem Cares, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality painting and decorating maintenance work with minimal supervision. Your focus will be on addressing damp and mould build-up within properties, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for residents.

The Project

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Completing reactive maintenance work and replacements as per the specification, working efficiently and productively
  • Advising your supervisor in a timely manner when other trades are required
  • Working collaboratively with other operatives to complete projects
  • Recording and submitting accurate data using relevant business systems and electronic devices
  • Providing excellent customer service to client representatives
  • Arranging the purchase of materials required to deliver the works in a planned and efficient manner
  • Complying with safeguarding policy and H&S standards at all times
  • Operating within the company's occupational road risk policies and procedures

Essential and Desirable Criteria

The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Demonstrable experience working as a Painter and Decorator
  • Full UK driving licence
  • C&G Craft/Advanced Craft Certificate in Painting & Decorating or NVQ L2 in Painting & Decorating (desirable)
  • CSCS H&S Operative (desirable)
  • Test Certificate + CSCS Blue Card (desirable)
  • Social Housing Experience (desirable)

Additionally, you must possess a high degree of manual dexterity, be able to work at height or uneven ground, and be comfortable working in confined spaces.
