About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Medicines Management Technician to join our team at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in providing safe and cost-effective medicines management services to our Acute Hospital at Home (AHAH) patients.

As a Medicines Management Technician, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on medicines optimisation for AHAH patients, working closely with colleagues, patients, and stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes. You will also be involved in facilitating safe transfers of patients to and from the AHAH service, ensuring that appropriate medicines are available and optimised.

We are looking for a highly motivated and self-sufficient individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for medicines management. You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team, including a senior clinical pharmacist, doctors, nurses, therapists, and clinical support workers.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of hospital pharmacy at ward level, with experience in medicines reconciliation and a good understanding of the discharge process. You will also have a passion for improving the quality of care for patients within our AHAH service.
