About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a welcoming primary school in Tower Hamlets.

Job Summary

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Psychology graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in an educational setting. The successful candidate will provide academic, social, and emotional support to students with diverse learning needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in planning, implementing, and evaluating programs for students with SEN
  • Support students in their daily routines, including managing behavior and maintaining a safe learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure consistency and coordination of support
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Psychology or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting students with SEN

We offer a competitive salary package, including an estimated £25,000 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also have access to ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

This is a full-time position, working 37 hours per week, term-time only. The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide references.
