Laboratory Animal Technician

At Agenda Life Sciences, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Animal Technician to join our team. This role involves working with various species and ensuring that in vivo studies comply with the Home Office, Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986 and internal policies.
Job Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to contribute to the success of our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for holding a personal licence undertaking routine and advanced technical procedures and projects, as well as participating in team discussions around current scientific work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Holding a personal licence and undertaking routine and advanced technical procedures and projects.
- Routine animal husbandry, observations, weighing and marking of procedural animals, environmental monitoring and record keeping.
- Participating in team discussions around current scientific work.
- Maintaining and setting up laboratory equipment.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a thorough understanding of the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986 and experience working with various species. You should also be competent in licensed techniques and have excellent communication skills.
