We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Clinical Research Doctor to join our team at South West London & St Georges Mental Health NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing medical and psychological treatment for individuals and families with severe mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Work with a senior CAMHS Consultant and other experienced Mental Health Clinicians within the Service.
- Provide both medical and psychological treatment for individuals and families with severe mental health needs.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team providing a community service and has close links with local authority, education and the wider borough structure.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with complex mental health conditions.
- Conduct assessments and provide diagnoses for patients with mental health issues.
- Work with patients, families, and carers to develop and implement care plans.
- Participate in clinical research and service evaluation to improve patient outcomes.
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practice at the time of appointment.
- Good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice.
- Approved under S12 or able to achieve with 6 months of appointment.
- Minimum 12 years' experience post qualification and at least 6 of those in the specialty (psychiatry) with at least 2 years in CAMHS.
- Excellent clinical skills in the assessment and management of complex mental health conditions in children and adolescents.
- Training and experience in working with systems and agencies to support children and adolescents mental health.
- Able to meet duties under MHA and MCA.
- Excellent knowledge in specialty.
- Knowledge and experience in psychopharmacology as applicable to CAMHS.
