AECOM is seeking a highly experienced Senior Public Health Engineer to join our team in London, Croydon, or St. Albans.

About the Role

This challenging and rewarding role involves leading public health and fire protection systems design on various projects, collaborating with clients, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring timely project delivery while maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Lead public health and fire protection systems design on multiple projects
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, quantity surveyors, and other stakeholders
  • Mentor and train junior engineers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles
  • Manage small-sized multi-disciplinary projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and client requirements
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with the design team, ensuring all technical and administrative information is disseminated promptly
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must possess:

  • Previous experience in public health engineering within a design consultancy or relevant business
  • BEng or MEng degree in a relevant engineering course (CIBSE SoPHE Member preferred)
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of statutory regulations and their application in public health engineering
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks reviewing software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
