Our team in Leeds is seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Technologist to join our Application and Innovation Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute Application and Innovation projects to support the sales growth of Brenntag Nutrition in the UK and Ireland.
  • Ensure our Application and Innovation Centre is a knowledge hub for our team, suppliers, and customers.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of projects supporting the development of our Nutrition business in the UK and Ireland.
  • Collaborate with Technical Sales Managers to provide technical assistance, formulation support, and ad-hoc training.
  • Assist Technical Sales Managers with the planning and delivery of customer presentations.
  • Foster an innovation mindset within the team by providing hands-on market trend monitoring, pro-active concept development, and collaborative projects with food universities.
  • Work closely with Product Managers to establish a strong technical relationship with suppliers.
  • Liaise with colleagues in the EMEA Application network to share best practices and participate in cross-border projects.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Food Science and Technology related topics.
  • Multiple years of experience in medium to large companies operating in the food and beverage industry sector in the field of research and development.
  • Strong practical knowledge in using functional ingredients.
  • Strong application know-how in several segments of the food industry.
  • Solid project management skills.
  • Problem-solving capacity.
  • Positivity and enthusiasm.
  • Autonomy.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and multicultural environment.
