Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative commercial vehicle technology in a dynamic and collaborative start-up environment at REE. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in delivering safe, compliant, and high-quality products to global markets.
Responsibilities
- Support the priorities and activities of the Government & Regulatory team to ensure seamless collaboration and effective communication.
- Define, document, and communicate certification and safety requirements for assigned programs and target markets, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to build a deep understanding of certification requirements through application and interpretation, driving innovation and quality.
- Clearly and effectively document certification evidence for assigned programs, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Support interactions with domestic and international regulatory agencies, approval authorities, technical services, and industry associations to ensure compliance and effective communication.
- Develop and lead certification and homologation test plans to deliver on-time certifications for global markets, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
- Monitor new global regulations and ensure team awareness and understanding, staying ahead of industry developments and trends.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in US certification and/or product safety fields, with a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
- Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Experience negotiating and collaborating with external and internal stakeholders, with strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or another related field, with a strong foundation in technical regulatory requirements.
- Ability to clarify technical regulatory requirements for stakeholders at all levels, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel to support certification testing as needed, with a valid passport and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
