As a Product Line Planner at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and success. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering innovative solutions to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and analyze 12-18 month supply plans, providing input on changes required to ensure accurate forecasting.
- Collaborate with Product Leadership, Sales, Finance, and Operations to identify events that will alter demand and incorporate into the forecast.
- Prepare and lead Supply Review meetings, generating scenarios considering products, past event data, customer/market analysis, cannibalization, substitution, and other relevant parameters.
- Develop and maintain Capacity Evaluation tools for Business Unit capacity planning with a 5-year outlook.
- Run and maintain multiple spreadsheets/reports, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in planning data.
- Enable plans to deliver/improve service & inventory targets by delivering/improving forecast measures.
- 5 years of Supply Chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in enterprise business systems and business software (specifically, SAP).
- Experience with process improvement/operational excellence is preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in ERP/MRP Planning systems, including all relevant planning parameters such as inventory controls, replenishment, warehouse management, and procurement functionality in ERP and best-of-breed software solutions.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook).
- Solid understanding of planning and purchasing systems and of concepts of inventory flow throughout the supply chain.
- Strong customer service focus.
- Ability to develop and provide reports to satisfy ongoing inquiries on capacity and product availability.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate critical information.
- Good problem-solving and reasoning skills to effectively deal with problems varying in complexity relative to job level.
