Job Overview

Urenco, a trusted supplier to the nuclear industry, is seeking a Senior Control and Instrumentation Engineer to support their engineering activities. As a key member of the team, you will provide technical input to projects associated with decommissioning, lifetime extension, and process improvement works.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional technical input to engineering activities, ensuring compliance with specified standards, UUK design procedures, safety case, and nuclear site license requirements.
  • Lead the delivery of projects and smaller packages of work, producing deliverables and leading teams of engineers to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
  • Scope packages of work, determine appropriate deliverables, and delivery routes, ensuring emergent issues are appropriately managed.
  • Take ownership of UUK assets, continuously improving aspects of the business within your remit.
  • Effectively communicate detailed information related to specific work packages to a range of stakeholders and provide specialist engineering advice to the wider business.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified (BEng or MEng) in an applicable engineering discipline or equivalent subject.
  • Preferably professionally qualified with a relevant UK Engineering Institution.
  • Minimum six years within the last ten years, preferably within the nuclear or highly regulated industries.
  • Good, broad understanding of other engineering disciplines, technologies, plant systems, and processes present in the company.
  • Understanding of UK nuclear regulatory requirements, Nuclear Site Licence Conditions, and their application in engineering design.
  • Experience of complying with legal and regulatory standards and working with appropriate national, international, and nuclear-specific design codes and standards.
  • Qualified in IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition.
