SHEQ Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SHEQ Coordinator to join our team at Supreme. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental quality of our facilities and operations.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop and implement a comprehensive Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) strategy that aligns with company goals and objectives.
• Ensure accurate recording and reporting of incidents and non-compliances, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
• Act as the primary point of contact for SHE advisors and facilitate communication and training through the use of tool box talks, regular meetings, and best practice.
• Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date H&S records, and ensure compliance with Ibstock PLC requirements.
• Proactively analyze data and develop action plans to reduce risks of injury and illness to employees and workers.
• Identify areas of best practice and work closely with SHE advisors to cascade information throughout the group.
• Provide technical advice and support to colleagues in resolving H&S issues and reducing environmental impact.
• Support factory management teams in developing site-specific SHE action plans and auditing progress.
• Measure and report improvements to the Safety Health and Environment Management Systems.
• Facilitate the review of site-specific procedures and assessments in line with group SHE requirements.
• Implement new initiatives introduced by the group H&S department as per the H&S roadmap.
• Facilitate H&S committees on site and ensure effective roll-out and monitoring of minutes and action plans.
• Ensure compliance with environmental permits or licenses issued by enforcing authorities.

• NEBOSH General Certificate (to be achieved within 12 months)
• IEMA Foundation course in Environmental Management (desired)
• Membership of IOSH (desired)
• Excellent communication and training skills
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
• Numerate and literate
• Effective collaborator with ability to influence a wide cross-section of people
• Flexible and able to work individually or as part of a team
