Senior Health and Safety Professional Job Role

£50,000 - £55,000 per year plus benefits package

A key position responsible for promoting health, safety, and environmental practices throughout the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish a robust safety culture by promoting effective communication, employee involvement in safety initiatives, and recognition of safe behaviours.
  • Gain comprehensive understanding of ISO45001 and ISO14001 standards, ensure compliance, and attain site accreditation.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures in line with UK regulations.
  • Promote adherence to relevant health and safety laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Perform thorough risk assessments and implement measures to reduce risks.
  • Design and execute comprehensive health and safety training programs for employees.
  • Lead investigations into workplace incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents and their outcomes.
Essential Requirements:
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification in occupational health and safety.
  • Substantial experience in a similar role within the manufacturing sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse workforce levels and influence positive change.
  • Familiarity with tools and methods supporting the creation of a positive health and safety culture.
  • Experience pursuing ISO45001 and ISO14001 certification.
