Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and confident Speech and Language Therapist to join our acute team at the Princess Royal University Hospital. This is a rotational role covering adult inpatients, offering a varied and rapidly changing caseload.

The successful candidate will provide Speech and Language Therapy services across a range of wards and specialities, remaining within each clinical speciality for 9 months. This will allow them to develop specialist clinical and management skills within the area of adult acute acquired disorders.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide Speech and Language Therapy services to adult inpatients across a range of wards and specialities
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to meet the needs of patients with acquired and neurological disorders
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures
Requirements
  • BSc or recognised postgraduate MSc or diploma in Speech and Language Therapy
  • Registration with the Health Professions Council
  • Postgraduate training in communication disorders and aphasia therapy
  • Member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists
