Test, Rod

We are seeking a skilled Test, Rod & Rope Engineer - Infrastructure to join our team at VEA Telecoms Ltd in the Manchester area. As a key member of our Operations team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining cabling infrastructure, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety standards.

• Setup and Maintain Cabling Systems: Conducting Test, Rod & Rope (TRR) activities, including setup of sub-ducts, micro-ducts, and blow fiber tubing (BFT).
• Analyze Technical Data: Interpreting cable diagrams, duct plans, network diagrams, and schematics.
• Evaluate and Report Progress: Performing risk assessments, creating A55, Box-to-Box, and photo reports.
• Solve Complex Problems: Diagnosing and resolving issues with cable routes, especially in underground networks.
• Ensure Compliance: Following health and safety protocols and quality procedures.
• Foster Effective Communication: Keeping site supervisors and clients informed about project progress.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a TRR or Cabling Engineer, holding relevant licenses and certifications such as NRSWA, SA002, and S7 PIA Sub-duct and Cable Installation. Strong mathematical and telecommunications knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are essential for this role.
