About the Opportunity:

We are excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Prospero Teaching in St Helens. This full-time role will involve providing high-quality support to children with additional needs, including those with autism.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Work closely with teachers to deliver tailored support and interventions for children across all curriculum areas.
  2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues, promoting a sense of community and belonging.
  3. Prepare and maintain resources and areas within the setting, adhering to health and safety standards.
  4. Conduct assessments and record information, providing valuable insights for teachers and parents.
  5. Support children in daily routines, prioritizing their physical and emotional well-being.
  6. Foster a love of learning and exploration in children through engaging activities, both indoors and outdoors.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working within a UK secondary school environment.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (Minimum Level 2), Education Studies Degree, Psychology Degree, or similar.
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding and Prevent training (or willingness to undertake free online training).
  • Holding a valid Right to Work in the UK document.
  • An Enhanced DBS certificate (or registering for a new application at a cost of £45.80 if needed).
  • Providing two professional references covering the past 2 years.

Position Details:

  • Location: St Helens.
  • Start date: Immediate start available.
  • Duration: Ongoing.
  • Position: SEN Teaching Assistant.
  • Full-time, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm daily.
