About the Role

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6am - 4pm (shifts may vary)
  • Salary: From £11.44 per hour PAYE (estimated annual salary: approximately £23,500)

Key Responsibilities

Your primary duties will include:

  • Sorting and organizing incoming parcels accurately and efficiently based on designated routes and destinations
  • Operating conveyor belts, scanners, and other equipment to facilitate the sorting process
  • Ensuring proper labelling and categorisation of parcels to prevent errors in delivery
  • Collaborating with team members to maintain a smooth workflow and meet deadlines
  • Identifying damaged parcels and following company protocols for proper handling and documentation
  • Assisting in loading and unloading delivery vehicles, optimising space utilisation
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work area to uphold safety and efficiency standards

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Prior experience in warehouse, logistics, or parcel sorting is preferred but not required
  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift packages of varying weights
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate sorting and labelling of parcels
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • Flexibility to work night shifts and occasional overtime as needed
  • Reliable transportation to and from the warehouse location
