We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Planner to join our team on a fixed-term contract basis. As a Senior Planner, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding advice on a wide range of development projects and planning issues.
Key Responsibilities- Provide first-rate support to more senior members of the team on major, complex projects.
- Manage a broad mix of planning instructions requiring diligent and timely research and analysis, provision of advice on the planning potential of land and property, and formulation of development proposals that meet client requirements.
- Assess and weigh the opportunities and risks presented by the planning system, and provide advice on strategies and programmes for managing local plan and planning application processes.
- Prepare and submit applications for planning permission, and represent the client in negotiations with local planning authorities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver project outputs and advice, and contribute to the implementation of the team's business plan.
- Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute with at least 2 years post-qualification experience.
- Inquisitorial and problem-solving skills, with excellent analytical and numerical abilities.
- Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to write clearly and concisely.
- Ambitious and enthusiastic individual with a passion for urban planning and development.
