Key Responsibilities- Coordinate remote learning programmes and provide advice to tutors and leaders on learner progress and engagement.
- Design and deliver programmes devised by a multi-disciplinary team, working closely with colleagues to ensure effective implementation.
- Provide small group or teaching cover activity with assigned pupils, using your expertise to support their learning and development.
- Mentor and support new staff with induction and competencies development, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Support pupils to manage their behaviour in line with identified plans and processes, using your knowledge and skills to promote positive outcomes.
- Develop and implement strategies to support pupils' communication skills, working closely with colleagues to ensure effective implementation.
- Take on additional and essential support tasks, such as medication, first aid, inductions, rotas, and lunchtime coordination, demonstrating your ability to work flexibly and effectively.
- Complete documentation and reports within set timeframes, using your expertise to provide high-quality information and insights.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about raising the aspirations and achievements of pupils with complex needs. You will have a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience in working in a similar role, and be committed to delivering high-quality education and support.
You will have high expectations for education outcomes, a proven track record in raising pupil attainment, and be enthusiastic about working within a specialist school environment. You will model good classroom practice, have good communication skills with both students and work colleagues, and be able to take responsibility for managing the classroom during non-contact sessions or absence of the class teacher.
You will be resilient, creative, and consistent in managing positive supportive individual needs of our students, and be able to work effectively as part of a team to promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
