About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a Band 5 Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of specialties across our hospitals, including respiratory and critical care, acute admissions unit, neurosciences and stroke, trauma and orthopaedics, and cancer services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality occupational therapy interventions to patients, including assessment and treatment, individual and group education, and provision of assistive devices and equipment.
  • Work autonomously in a range of treatment environments, including hospital wards, outpatient departments, and patients' homes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care and achieve optimal outcomes.
Person Specification
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
  • Completed varied clinical placements and experience working in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with patients, carers, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate tasks effectively, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.
