Culinary Director

Aspens Services Ltd is a leading contract catering company specializing in school food. We combine our understanding of the education sector with our knowledge of food trends to encourage creativity and excitement in our kitchens. We are seeking an experienced Chef Manager to join our team. As the Chef Manager, you will have full operational and financial responsibility for your school's catering facility. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality food and service, as well as driving sales through promotions and added value events.

• Lead, develop, coach, train, and motivate your kitchen team
• Manage catering operations, including stock, food, and labor costs
• Ensure consistency of food and service standards
• Drive sales through promotions and added value events
• Manage and improve controllable costs
• Oversee menu development
• Maintain company systems and procedures, and legislation
• Carry out regular audits to ensure standards are being met

We are looking for someone who shares our passion for delivering exceptional food and service to our schools. You will need:

• OND or HND qualified (advantageous)
• Craft-based experience using fresh ingredients
• Knowledge of health and safety practices
• Financial understanding of gross profit management and achieving sales targets
• Line management experience
• Experience within a similar environment
