As the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in guiding the financial strategy of the company. You will lead a growing finance team, overseeing various strategic areas, including preparing management accounts, forecasting, ensuring compliance, and supporting financial planning to drive sustainable growth in the healthtech sector.

This position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment based in London with remote work options. Your responsibilities will span:
  • Managing all aspects of financial reporting, including month-end and year-end close processes, preparation of financial statements, and variance analysis.
  • Developing and implementing internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Leading the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insightful analysis to support strategic planning.
  • Oversighting cash flow management, working capital optimisation, and treasury functions to mitigate financial risk.
  • Coordinating the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
  • Providing financial guidance and support to cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and product development.
  • Collaborating with senior leadership to develop and implement financial strategies that drive growth and profitability.
  • Monitoring key financial metrics and KPIs, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Staying up-to-date on accounting standards and regulatory changes to ensure best practices are maintained.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is preferred. With 3-5 years of experience in financial management, ideally with a high-growth or startup background, you will bring strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of UK GAAP. Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) is essential. The estimated salary for this role is around £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
