Flood Risk Engineering Specialist

MEC Consulting Group Ltd, a leading technical services provider nationwide, seeks highly skilled Flood Risk Engineers to join its team. Located in key cities, our offices are hubs for innovation and growth.
Job OverviewWe offer a competitive salary of £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus a range of benefits, including flexible working arrangements, 25 days' annual leave, and a company pension scheme.
Key Responsibilities:- Flood Risk Assessment and Drainage Strategy Development: Write comprehensive reports for strategic development schemes in Flood Zones 1, 2 & 3, incorporating sustainable drainage techniques.
- Project Management and Administration: Assist with project management, client liaison, quality control, budgeting, resource allocation, team briefing, and invoicing.
- Design Submissions and Client Communication: Submit designs for third-party approvals, requiring proactive communication with clients, authorities, and other agencies to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Team Supervision and Training: Provide supervision, guidance, and advice to new team members, ensuring they follow a continued professional development program.
- Business Planning and Development: Prepare business plans in accordance with company financial projection targets and undertake business development and networking activities.
- Educational Background: Educated to a minimum standard of Degree (in Civil engineering or other relevant subject).
- Relevant Experience: Relevant experience, including design, management, knowledge of flood risk/hydrology standards, and business development.
- Technical Knowledge: Proficient in the use of Micro Drainage and flood modelling software packages, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written skills, particularly report writing and client liaison, with strong IT skills and a self-motivated individual with a desire to grow and develop the company.
