Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled physiotherapist to join our team as Deputy Head of Physiotherapy. As a key member of our physiotherapy department, you will play a vital role in shaping and guiding our physiotherapy service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-standard physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and advice to patients in the outpatient department and/or ward.
- Use clinical reasoning skills to develop treatment plans that are appropriate for the patient.
- Assist the Head of Physiotherapy in leading, planning, developing, and assessing the physiotherapy service.
- Collaborate with the Head Physiotherapist on organisation-wide strategic planning and service enhancements.
- Promote change and implement solutions to ensure high standards of patient-focused service delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
Requirements:
- HCPC-registered, chartered physiotherapist.
- Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent.
- Ability to work autonomously while being an effective team player.
- Previous experience working in a hospital setting.
- Ideally, 5 years of post-qualification physiotherapy experience.
- Extensive experience in supervision and line management of qualified and unqualified staff.
- Experience reviewing, reflecting, and critically appraising own practice and performance through CPD and professional/operational supervision.
