Civil Engineering & Construction Company

Blackfox Solutions are delighted to be working with a Civil Engineering & Construction company, based in Northern Ireland. This company provides engineering solutions for large-scale commercial and public sector projects across the UK and Ireland.

They are currently seeking a Health & Safety Manager to oversee the implementation and maintenance of their Integrated Management System.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records on site, including management plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Monitor and maintain the company's Integrated Management System, ensuring compliance with ISO standards.
  • Investigate non-conformance, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Review and assess suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure they meet the company's safety standards.
  • Monitor plant and equipment maintenance and use to prevent accidents.
  • Conduct staff health assessments to identify potential health risks.
  • Promote a positive safety culture through leadership, training, and communication.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including clients and project teams, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar SHEQ role.
  • NEBOSH certification or an IOSH accredited degree.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to promote a positive safety culture.
