Job Description
Companionship Services:
- Provide companionship and conversation to clients, stimulating their minds and encouraging engagement in various activities.
- Accompany clients to appointments and social events, promoting social interaction and a sense of community.
Home Help Services:
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and laundry, to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment.
- Organize and tidy cupboards, check food expiry dates, and assist with grocery shopping to ensure clients' needs are met.
- Cook a variety of meals from raw ingredients, promoting healthy eating and independence.
- Assist with pet care, providing a safe and loving environment for clients' pets.
Personal Care:
- Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming, promoting personal hygiene and dignity.
- Provide continence care, ensuring clients' comfort and well-being.
- Consider and understand the perspective of clients with dementia or Alzheimer's, providing empathetic and supportive care.
- Assist with morning and evening routines, promoting a sense of structure and routine.
Essential Criteria:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building strong relationships with clients and their families.
- Respect for individuals with diverse backgrounds and beliefs, promoting a non-discriminatory care practice.
- Reliability and punctuality, ensuring clients' needs are met and appointments are kept.
- Good hygiene practices, maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
- Ability to obtain an Enhanced Disclosure from the relevant body, ensuring a safe and secure working environment.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Residency in the UK.
- Availability of all necessary Right to Work documents.
- No sponsorship available.
- Availability of all benefits.
- Previous care experience preferred, but not required.
Qualifications:
No formal qualifications are required, but a passion for caring and a motivation to help others is essential.
Additional Information:
