Patient Admissions Coordinator

About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Admissions Coordinator to join our Theatre team at the Royal South Hants hospital, Southampton.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure effective pre-operative case management, co-ordination, and administration tasks leading up to and including the day of surgery.
- Collaborate with Theatre staff, Consultants, Nurses, and other administration staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Prepare clinical files, admit patients, and provide pre-operation prep on the day of surgery.
- Manage and maintain accurate records, including pathology and radiology reports.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth patient experience.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a healthcare administration role, with a strong focus on patient care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency in IT systems, including electronic patient records and other administrative software.
