Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Green Energy Field Operations Manager to lead our team of engineers in delivering exceptional customer experiences. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing teams in operational or engineering roles, with a strong focus on customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a team of engineers to deliver outstanding customer experiences
  • Collaborate with our Talent Team to bring top talent into the business and build a high-performing team
  • Ensure the team has the necessary skills, support, and equipment to excel, working with suppliers and experts to meet these requirements
  • Design processes and ways of working for engineers to consistently deliver exceptional customer service
  • Inspire your team to contribute to our zero-carbon journey, encouraging creativity and efficiency improvements
  • Coach and develop your team, creating an environment where engineers can grow and thrive
  • Support Operations Managers in executing business strategy, building the team, and driving strong performance and customer service
  • Work with the Technical Assurance team to ensure quality installations and meet accreditation standards
  • Ensure exceptional customer experiences, resolving issues in person when needed

Requirements:

  • Experience leading and inspiring teams in operational or engineering roles to deliver top-tier customer service
  • Proven experience managing engineers in a field-based environment, either onsite or in customer homes
  • Relevant industry experience, ideally in utilities, energy, electrical, renewables, or smart metering
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to deliver quickly in a fast-paced, lean environment
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure, with excellent organizational skills and resilience
  • Strong networking and collaboration skills, delivering with a focus on quality, safety, and customer experience
  • Excellent people skills, attention to detail, and creative thinking
  • Proactive in anticipating needs and productive in your work approach
  • Willingsness to travel to support engineers, attend training sessions, and meet with customers, partners, and suppliers
