Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Chemist to join our team at Veolia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing plant effluent samples, ensuring compliance with Company Systems and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze plant effluent samples in compliance with Company Systems and procedures.
  • Responsible for analyzing incoming customer samples for pre-acceptance criteria in compliance with Company Systems and procedures.
  • Assist the plant with maintenance works and carry out incoming bulk delivery assessments on vehicles and record their details on the provided computerized system(s).
  • Assist Site Management with paperwork records and ensure site personnel, contractors, and visitors comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation and Company Standards.
  • Responsible for site Management in actively promoting environmental awareness to Employees, Contractors, and Visitors.
  • Maintain the High Standards of Site Housekeeping and assist Site Management with the Company's obligations regarding the Site's EPR permit and Trade Effluent Agreement.
  • Undertake any operational duties assigned by a member of the Site Management team.

Requirements

  • HNC / NVQ within Chemistry or similar.
  • Previous experience gained working within a chemist role.
  • Previous experience of working with Hazardous waste is desirable.
  • Full UK driving licence due to the location.
