We are currently seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our team at a recycling company based in Exeter. This is a permanent, full-time role with competitive pay and benefits.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading vehicles and ships using machinery such as 360 Material Handler, Wheeled loading shovel, and Forklifts. They will also ensure that materials arriving on site are processed safely and efficiently, carry out final inspections of dispatched materials, and assist in scheduling inward and outward transport.
Liaising with customers, drivers, and contractors who visit the site is also an essential part of this role.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Prior experience of operating 360 Material Handler, Wheeled loading shovel, and Forklifts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work flexible working hours to include occasional evenings and weekends
- Overtime paid at £19.26 per hour after 40 hours worked per week
- Monday-Friday working pattern (Apply online only)
- 30 mins paid break, 30 mins unpaid
- Free parking on site or accessible by bus routes Green and B
- Canteen on site
- Annual shut down between Christmas and New Year
- Promote-from-within philosophy
Estimated Salary: £25,038 per annum.
