Electrical Design Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at CV Library. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the design stages of new and existing projects from inception to final handover.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collate and compile accurate design documentation.
  • Ensure client design objectives are met.
  • Support the growth of our design team through collaboration and innovative solutions.
  • Review third-party design and cost submissions for accuracy and adherence to client specifications.
  • Develop and produce LV AC electrical design solutions using electronic software packages.
  • Produce detailed electrical design information in written and drawing formats.
  • Have in-depth knowledge and understanding of commercial and industrial electrical systems.
  • Assist the commercial team in compiling accurate and comprehensive cost submissions.
  • Organise and work with professionals and contractors to develop new designs and changes to existing projects.
Requirements:
  • Experience in CDM projects in construction and building services.
  • Previous management capacity in a multi-skilled work environment.
  • Electrical bias with formal qualifications to C&G or HNC/HND standards.
  • AutoCAD and drawing package software experience.
  • C&G Design, Erection, and Verification.
  • Driving license essential.
  • First aid training not essential.
  • CSCS card holder.
  • UK-wide travel and overnight stays may be required.

Location: Hybrid working in Barnsley, with a reporting office.

Working hours: 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday.
