About the Role:
Penguin Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Town Planner to join our client's multidisciplinary team in the UK. As an Urban Development Specialist, you will play a key role in managing planning commissions from start to finish, including liaison with clients, coordination with architecture and design teams, management of internal and external sub-consultants, and preparation of EIA chapters for major highway schemes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage planning commissions from start to finish, ensuring timely and successful project delivery.
- Liaise with clients to understand their needs and expectations, and provide regular project updates.
- Coordinate with architecture and design teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Manage internal and external sub-consultants to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Prepare EIA chapters for major highway schemes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Provide support and mentorship to graduate members of the team, promoting professional development and growth.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working within a multidisciplinary team, with a strong understanding of planning and development processes.
- Demonstrable experience at Planner + level, with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Excellent working knowledge of all stages of planning and development, including EIA and planning applications.
- Ability to work independently, with a strong sense of initiative and a desire to grow and take on new challenges.
- Chartered Planner status or working towards the APC, with a relevant RTPI-accredited degree in a planning discipline.
