About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our Inpatient team at HMP Elmley. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality healthcare services to patients in a prison setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exercise autonomy and decision-making skills in planning and delivering patient care.
  • Support the development of evidence-based practice and promote research in the specialist field.
  • Participate in managerial and professional clinical supervision, training, and annual appraisal.
  • Implement effective patient-centered care planning tools and long-term condition registers.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Leads, GPs, and other clinicians to meet service needs.
  • Work as part of a skilled multidisciplinary team to deliver a single referral pathway.
  • Undertake training to maximize uptake of screening, health promotion, and prevention activities.

Person Specification
  • Essential qualifications: RMN/RGN
  • Desirable qualifications: Already in possession of an NMC PIN
  • Compassionate approach to care
  • Desirable: Underpinning models such as 6 Cs
  • Experience: Familiarity with using NHS or other healthcare databases
  • Desirable: Experience working alongside PC nursing
