Contract Management Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Contract Management Specialist to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Contracts team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth management of our contract portfolio.
About the Role
As a Contract Management Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and delivering analytical support to assist in the management of our contracts with Clinical Commissioning Groups, NHS England, Local Authority Commissioners, and Prime Contractors. You will bring analytical expertise to the management of our contracting process and build relationships with both commissioners and their agents. You will be key to understanding and articulating changes to the National Tariff Payment System rules and provide advice on matters related to tariff to our Divisional Managers, Project Management Office, and other internal stakeholders.
You will attend and contribute to our internal Activity Recording Panel meeting, provide support to Divisional Managers with preparation and completion of ARP forms for discussion in the meeting, and collate evidence required to demonstrate compliance with Best Practice Tariff criteria, working with respective services to improve compliance.
In addition, you will take an active interest in Continuing Professional Development, taking part in regular performance appraisal meetings, ensuring clear objectives and development plans, and staying up-to-date with all statutory, mandatory training, and professional requirements.
Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day relationships and communication with commissioners and providers, ensuring that all contractual issues are raised and resolved promptly and effectively. You will also coordinate the Trust response to monthly challenges, ensuring timely communication within the national timetable.
You will work closely with the Financial Controller as required and deputise when necessary. Additionally, you will ensure Divisional Managers implement our Trust's contracting strategy, keep them updated on contracting and funding processes, and communicate changes in commissioning policy to improve compliance and reduce risk of income loss.
What We Offer
Our Trust offers a competitive salary of £43,141 - £62,065 per annum, depending on experience.
