Food Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Food Technologist to join our team at b3 jobs Ltd. As a Senior Food Technologist, you will play a crucial role in driving continuous improvement and providing guidance to teams on site with adherence to relevant standards, policies, legislation, and regulations.
About the RoleThe purpose of your role will be to support the development of our food safety and quality management systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. You will work closely with our technical team to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately complete customer forms, QAS, and specifications, and maintain company product and packaging specifications and labelling systems.
- Provide support, mentor, and develop Food Technologists, as well as deputise for the Technical Manager when necessary.
- Support the successful completion of customer and third-party audits and visits, and perform food safety system and GMP audits.
- Participate in the investigation of complaints, food safety close calls, and trends, ensuring effective preventive measures are put in place.
- Conduct relevant quality management training procedures and subjects linked to food safety and quality culture.
- Assist with preparing samples according to testing schedules.
The successful candidate should have a proven background of writing specifications within food manufacturing and possess a good knowledge of industry standards. Ideally, you should be educated to degree level with a food science relevant degree and have good working knowledge of Microsoft office and other relevant programs.
We are looking for a candidate with leadership qualities and a personable nature, who can demonstrate a good knowledge of the tasks involved with this job role and be proficient in writing specifications.
What We OfferThe Senior Food Technologist job is based in Berkshire and is paying GBP38,000 - GBP40,000 according to your experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday office hours.
