Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Worker to join our team at Leonard Cheshire. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily life tasks, including personal care, medication, and mealtimes, to promote independence and well-being.
  • Escort and assist individuals in and around the service, at external events, and appointments, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Support our Person-Centred approach by encouraging maximum independence and helping individuals achieve their individual aspirations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records to ensure effective care planning and delivery.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of six months' experience as a care worker or similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with individuals, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, to meet the needs of our service users.
  • Valid driving license and access to a car (desirable).
