Key Responsibilities:
  • Audit Responsibilities:
    • Assist in the planning and execution of financial audits.
    • Conduct substantive testing and analytical review procedures.
    • Verify the accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
    • Collaborate with audit teams to ensure compliance with auditing standards.
    • Prepare audit documentation and work papers.
  • Accounts Responsibilities:
    • Prepare financial statements for clients, including income statements and balance sheets.
    • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
    • Perform bank reconciliation and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
    • Assist in the preparation of management accounts.
    • Handle general ledger entries and maintain financial records.
  • Tax Responsibilities:
    • Support the preparation and filing of tax returns for individuals and businesses.
    • Assist in tax planning and compliance activities.
    • Research tax regulations and stay updated on changes in tax laws.
    • Respond to client queries regarding tax matters.
    • Collaborate with the tax team to ensure accurate and timely submissions.
  • Client Interaction:
    • Build and maintain relationships with clients.
    • Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial information.
    • Guide accounting and tax-related matters.
  • Compliance:
    • Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Monitor changes in accounting and auditing standards.
    • Support the implementation of new accounting and tax regulations.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of a 2:1 degree classification in a finance-related discipline (Accounting & Finance, Mathematics, Finance, and Economics).
  • Competitive salary ranging from £21,000 to £24,000, subject to the employer and the candidate's experience.
  • Study support for ACCA/ACA qualifications.
