Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse to take on a leadership role within our Infectious Diseases Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the unit, ensuring high standards of nursing care are maintained.

Estimated Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and ambitious Nurse to take on a senior leadership position within our team. As a Band 6 Sister / Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for leading a team of healthcare professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team. You will also have a strong understanding of current relevant NHS policies and procedures, as well as experience of adult/child safeguarding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Infectious Diseases Unit
  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff members
  • Maintain high standards of nursing care, adhering to current relevant NHS policies and procedures

  • Degree in health-related subject or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of achievements and career development in current post and ongoing professional development
  • Awareness of current relevant NHS policy context
