Class 2 Driver Porter Position

We are a company with nearly 150 years of experience in the logistics and removals sector. Our team is dedicated to delivering a premium service, and we are looking for a Class 2 Driver to join us.
Job DescriptionAs a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering and loading/unloading a range of goods, from furniture to high-value artwork. You will be part of a team that works together to ensure the safe journey of our clients' valued items and your colleagues.
Key Responsibilities- Vehicle daily checks of your allocated HGV Class 2/7.5t /3.5t vehicle
- Lifting and packing a range of office furniture, soft furnishings, hardware, fine art, etc.
- Taking goods in or out of storage
- Lifting and moving loads in excess of 25kg
- Ensuring the highest of standards are met when on site
- Responsible for your health and safety, or you and colleagues
- Always deliver excellent customer care and service
- Working as an integral team member during Larger Specialist Projects, including Laboratory and Executive Officer locations
- Complying with all company and health and safety procedures
- HGV Class 2 Driving Licence (essential)
- Team leading and/or supervisory experience (preferred)
- Digital Tacho Driver Card (essential)
- CSCS Green Card (preferred)
- Drivers Qualification Card (CPC) (essential)
- Knowledge of established legal tachograph procedures (essential)
- ADR Packages (preferred)
As a Class 2 Driver, you will receive a starting day rate of £130-£140, depending on experience. You will also receive incentives and a benefits package, which will include Employee Discount Scheme, Healthcare, and Death in Service cover after 3 months. You will also receive 23.8 days' holiday.
Enhanced Criminal Record Check: You will be required to undertake an 'Enhanced Criminal Record Check' or 'Baseline Security Check'. If you believe there may be an issue with either of these requirements, please inform us at your application stage.
