Hardfacing Specialist

Elevation Recruitment Group is currently working in partnership with a leading Engineering business that specializes in the manufacture of ground drilling equipment.

Due to expansion, they are looking to add a skilled and motivated individual to their team in a Sheffield-based Engineering facility.

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team of Hardfacing Specialists. You will play a key role in applying protective hardfacing coatings to oil & gas drilling equipment, ensuring top-notch quality. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a passion for high standards of workmanship.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Apply hardfacing coatings to oil and gas drilling equipment with precision and care
• Maintain the high-quality standards our products are known for
• Operate hand tools, grinding, and cutting equipment effectively (experience is an advantage)
• Work efficiently in a hot environment
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals

**Requirements and Qualifications:**

• A strong can-do attitude and commitment to excellence
• Experience with Oxy-Acetylene gas brazing (Nickel bronze and Silver soldering skills) is a plus
• Familiarity with hand grinding/cutting tools is advantageous
• Experience with cylindrical machine grinding is a plus but not required
