Salary

The estimated salary for this role is £50,000 per annum, paid as a consultancy fee until the company is launched and pre-seed investment secured. This is in addition to up to £250k in investment to support the new venture.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced professional to co-found and lead a new company focused on developing next-generation therapeutics for Parkinson's disease. The successful candidate will work closely with our team and current Founder in Residence to build and scale the venture from scratch.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A PhD or equivalent industry R&D know-how focused on neuroscience or a related field;
  • In-depth knowledge of state-of-the-art technologies and constraints in neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Parkinson's, at the cellular and molecular level;
  • Broad knowledge in therapeutic development processes within biotech or pharma industries;
  • Industry-specific know-how, commercial knowledge (e.g., strategic partnerships, clinical trials, regulations), and strong network within pharma;
  • Experience in biotech, building and scaling new technologies from concept to demonstration;
  • Experience in raising funds from early-stage investors/VC;
  • Experience in building and scaling a high-growth enterprise (leadership/C-suite roles).
