Aquarium Displays Team Leader

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the daily operations of our displays, including the health and safety of animals
  • Manage and develop your team, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, care, and innovation
  • Collaborate on animal acquisitions, transport, and quarantines, while meeting SEA LIFE's ethical standards
  • Be a key player in animal husbandry and life support system maintenance
  • Project manage new display developments, delivering fresh and exciting experiences for our guests

This is a full-time permanent role with 40 hours per week on a rota basis, including weekends and bank holidays. The role will also include the need to be on site after hours.

Requirements
  • You will have significant experience in the aquarium industry, with expertise in aquatic animal husbandry and life support systems
  • Ideal candidates will hold a degree or equivalent in a relevant field
  • A PADI Rescue Diver qualification or above is desirable
  • You will have strong leadership and communication skills to inspire and manage the Displays team
  • A creative mindset for developing engaging, educational exhibits is required
  • A keen understanding of zoo licensing and aquarium industry regulations is also necessary
