About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Certification Project Manager to join our team at BSI. As a key member of our testing team, you will be responsible for the effective management and development of a portfolio of Certification Schemes within the Electrical stream.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Delivery: Plan, prioritize, and supervise your own work to ensure timely and effective certification applications, technical reports, and certification recommendations.
  • Project Management: Deliver projects, maintain accurate project plans, and ensure business finances are accurately reflected.
  • Client Relationships: Develop and maintain excellent relationships with current and potential clients, and may act as account manager for several key clients.
  • Global Travel: Travel globally to support business development growth and client certification requirements.
Requirements
  • Detailed knowledge of International, European, or British Standards and/or other relevant documents and procedures.
  • Expert knowledge of relevant product-related legislation and European Directives.
  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant technical subject.
  • Knowledge of quality requirements detailed in relative international good-practice documents.
  • Experience of EMC Compliance Testing/Directives and/or IECEE CB Schemes would be a major advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating technical issues to a wide audience.
  • Customer-focused and solution-oriented.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills.
  • Familiarity with office IT systems and their application to commercial and technical processes.
  • Experience in monitoring budgets and maintaining cost control.
