Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Real Estate Associate. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the services provided by service provider teams, including production of statutory reporting, investor reporting, board papers, NAV calculations, distribution calculations, and income tax and VAT returns for the UK, Luxembourg, and Jersey real estate funds or special purpose vehicles.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in fund accounting and real estate or private equity structures, with knowledge of European real estate being beneficial. They will also possess some team management or supervision experience, be happy to get involved in a variety of tasks and projects, and provide backup support for the Lead Real Estate Fund Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the services provided by service provider teams, ensuring timely and accurate production of reports and documents.
  • Identify and document stakeholder and regulatory requirements, working with outsourced providers to ensure compliance.
  • Monitor performance and oversee agreed service levels and KPIs for specified fund range.
  • Periodically check the integrity of data held by the outsource provider, ensuring appropriate records are maintained.
  • Manage issues escalated by the service provider in relation to other 3rd parties in the operating model.
  • Provide input and instruction to the service provider team for acquisitions, including structuring advice, setup of investment structures, and creation of new entities.
  • Work with others to ensure Schroder group policies are adhered to and existing procedures/practices and processes are refined to reduce operational risk.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience of fund accounting and real estate or private equity structures.
  • European real estate experience is beneficial.
  • Some team management or supervision experience is beneficial.
  • Happiness to get involved in a variety of tasks and projects.
Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including a contributory pension scheme, life assurance, and annual leave entitlement.
