About the Role

The successful candidate will lead a team of solicitors in our Wills and Probate department, responsible for managing complex estate administration cases. With extensive experience in dealing with Wills & Probate related work, you will have a proven track record of success in supervising teams and driving business growth.

We are seeking a seasoned Estate and Probate lawyer to join our team as a Department Head. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years PQE and be experienced in private client law, including estate administration, probate, and will drafting. They will also have strong leadership skills and be able to manage a team of solicitors effectively.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a team of solicitors in the Wills and Probate department
  • Oversee the management of complex estate administration cases
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth and improve team performance
  • Mentor and develop junior lawyers within the team

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years PQE in private client law
  • Proven experience in leading teams and managing complex cases
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to new challenges and prioritize tasks effectively
  • STEP qualification or equivalent desirable

Working Arrangements

This is a full-time position based in London. We offer a competitive salary of £80,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes a generous pension scheme, flexible working hours, and access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
