About the Role

Safran Landing Systems is seeking a skilled Surface Finishes Technician to join our team in Gloucester. As a Surface Finishes Technician, you will be responsible for processing production components through the Surface Finishes department, including Cadmium, Chrome, Nickel, and Zinc/Nickel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing of production components through the Surface Finishes department
  • Measuring both unplated and plated components using micrometers, calipers, and permascopes
  • Chemical additions to processing vats as and when required
  • Supporting continuous improvement activities

Requirements

  • Ideal candidate will have served a processing apprenticeship or have experience in chrome, cadmium, nickel, and zinc/nickel and their associated activities
  • Competent in the use of measuring equipment and able to read and understand technical drawings
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong team working ethics
  • Self-managed and reliant with good problem-solving skills
  • Good problem-solving skills to diagnose equipment or tool malfunctions and to determine the need for adjustment or repairs
  • Participation in continuous improvement activities to improve operational processes and internal customer satisfaction
