Job Title: Progress Developer

Job Details:

Salary: Up to £45,000 dependent on experience + 3% flexible benefits + on target bonus of 5% + contributory pension

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test Progress Openedge 4GL/ABL code
  • Collaborate with Testing and Change Management teams
  • Deliver high-quality solutions within time and budget
  • Improve internal processes and ensure development standards are met
  • Manage development projects and ensure timely implementation

Requirements:

  • Programming and analysis skills in Progress / Openedge 4GL / ABL
  • Experience in developing Enterprise-level applications
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills

Desirable Skills:

  • Prior experience in developing collection system software
  • Openedge Appserver
  • Openedge Database Management
  • Javascript / HTML
  • .NET
  • Webspeed
  • Smart Objects

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience in delivering development projects in a commercial environment
  • Source control management system experience
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing business demands
  • Effective communication and strong analytical skills
