SEN Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Parker Smith Inclusion. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a SEMH setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students with SEMH, ASD, and ADHD
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans to meet the needs of students with SEND
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a smooth and successful experience for all
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in SEN and SEMH to inform your practice
Requirements:
  • Passion for supporting students with SEND and a commitment to their well-being and success
  • Experience working with children and young people with SEMH, ASD, and ADHD
  • Emotional resilience and ability to manage challenging behaviors
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
