About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Housekeeper to join our team at Ridgemount Banstead Care Home. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general cleaning duties, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Clean and maintain resident rooms, common areas, and bathrooms.
  • Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the management team.
  • Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.
  • Assist with laundry services as needed.
  • Provide friendly and respectful interaction with residents and their families.

Requirements:

  • Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in a healthcare or residential setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and lift/move equipment as needed.
  • Commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace, including Control of Substances Harmful to Health (COSHH).
